Hankisa Motwani Starrer “Maha” To Enter Theatres In May

Hansika Motwani, who was last seen in Telugu comedy Tenali Ramakrishna BA. BL (2019) by G. Nageswara Reddy, next stars in Tamil thriller Maha. Produced by Mathi Azhagan under the banner of Etcetera Entertainment, the upcoming movie features Hansika Motwani in her 50th film in the lead role.

Besides Hansika Motwani, actor STR a.k.a Simbu also features in the movie. The makers dropped his first look from the film on Thursday, wherein he could be seen dressed as a stylish pilot. According to a source, Maha features Simbu in an extended cameo, and his role is inspired from a real-life pilot based out of Goa. The last picture, which was released on Thursday, featured both Simbu and Hansika Motwani. The official poster of Maha released a year ago and created controversy as some people accused it of hurting religious sentiments.

The latest we hear that the makers are planning to book a May release date for the film. Though there is no official word on the same, some sources close to the thriller reveal that the movie will enter theatres in May, 2020 only.

In addition to Hansika Motwani, the star cast of Maha also includes talented actors Thambi Ramaiah, Srikanth and Karunakaran among others playing important roles. The camera is being cranked by Laxman. Dinesh has choreographed stunt sequences in the film. While Hansika Motwani is marking her 50^th release with Maha, the movie also happens to be Ghibran’s 25^th film as a music director.

After Maha, Hansika might next be seen in Partner which was announced months ago. The actress will be seen alongside Aadhi Pinisetty and Palak Lalwani in the movie, with comedians Robo Shankar and Yogi Babu essaying supporting roles.
