Halitha Shameem Wraps Up Her Next Directorial “Aela”

Halitha Shameem received overwhelming response for her anthology film “Sillu Karupatti”. Not only critics but audiences also showered loads of love on the movie.
Halitha Shameem needs no introduction! She has been wooing audiences with her impeccable filmmaking skills for quite some time now. It was her anthology film Sillu Karupatti (2019) which received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike and established her as a promising filmmaker. Halitha Shameem made her directorial debut with Poovarasam Peepee (2013) which was produced and cinematographed by Manoj Paramahamsa. She has helmed a couple of films since then. And now, the filmmaker seems all worked up for her upcoming film Aela.
Halitha Shameem recently dropped the poster of her film Aela on social media platforms and announced. Touted to be a neo-realistic comedy film, Aela revolves around a father-son relation and is set to be produced by YNOT Studio and co-produced by Reliance Entertainment. According to reports, the makers have wrapped up with the shoot and the film has now entered the post-production stage. Shameem wrote Aela a couple of years ago and was waiting for the right producer to bankroll it.
Well-known actor Samuthirakani, who won accolades for his impeccable performance in Allu Arjun’s recent hit film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo (2020), has been roped in for a pivotal role in the film. While he plays the role of the father, Manikandan have come onboard to play his son in the film. Interestingly, Samuthirakani also played an important role in the Halitha Shameem directorial Sillu Karupatti.
Meanwhile, coming back to the rest of the cast in the film, the director has roped in a set of new actors who are from the village of Manjunayakanpatti in Dindigul district. Vikram Vedha (2017) fame Pushkar and Gayathri are working as creative directors in the film. Along with some updates, the director posted a poster of the film which caught everybody’s attention in no time.
