As the New Year approaches us with hopes and news, here is the list of 17 most awaiting Bollywood film in 2019.

Gully Boy

Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s upcoming film, Gully Boy, is expected to hit the cinema soon on Valentine day. This is the first time fan could see Ranveer Singh in a role of a street dancer – rapper and his on-screen romance with beautiful Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt.

Kalank

With the context of 1940s, the epic drama has undisputed stars as the cast. With Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Varman’s film caught a lot of attention since its announcement. Madhuri Dixit was cast to replace Sridevi after she passed away.

 Bramastra

The much-awaited Brahmastra has Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhat and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role. Earlier, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor were shooting in Bulgaria where their love on the screen has turned into real-life romance. Talking about the film that made their love has blossomed, Ranbir said: “It is actually a supernatural romantic fairy tale at heart. Ayan will never make a character that doesn’t have truth to it, or which is unbelievable. It’s too early to talk about the film, but it is something I am terribly excited about.”

Brahmastra will be released on Christmas 2019.

 Bharat

Bharat starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif is one of the most awaited films of the year. The film is a remake of a famous Korean Film, Ode to my father. It set to be released on 5 June 2019.

Student of the year 2

SOTY 2 marks the debuts of Ananya Panday, Tara Sutaria, Tiger Shroff, Punit Malhotra. Reportedly, Will Smith will make a special appearance in SOTY 2. The film is expected to hit the cinema on 10 May.

Saaho marks the debut of Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor and this is also the first time the two collaborate in a film. Neil Nitin Mukesh, Chunkey Panday and Jackie Shroff also play a role in Saaho.

Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi

Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi marks the debut of Kangana in the role of director. The historical drama depicts the life of queen Kangana Ranaut will hit the cinema on 25 January.

Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga

On February 1, movie buffs can see Sonam Kapoor and father Anil Kapoor on the silver screen for the first time. Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga is also the first film depicts love story of two women in Indian cinema.

Junglee

Junglee is the next film of Vidyut Jammwal, directed by American filmmaker and penned by writer Chuck Russel. Vidyut played a veterinarian in homecoming journey to his father’s elephant reserve. However, he was dragged into a fight with an international poaching racket. Junglee will hit the cinema on 5 April 2019.

Kesari

Kesari starring Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra in the lead, directed by Anurag Singh will be released on 21 March. It tells the story of Havildar Ishar Singh who was in the Battle of Saragarhi in which 21 Sikhs fought back 10,000 Afghans in 1987.

Good News

Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor will be seen in Karan Johar’s Good News. Good News revolves a Punjabi couple in an effort to have a baby. Akshay Kumar’s film will be released on 19 July.

Kabir Singh

Kabir Singh, a Telugu remake film, is Shahid Kapoor’s next big project. A close source gives a glimpse of the film that: “The protagonist is a Punjabi like Shahid who is best suited for the part because he emulates both power and vulnerability.” Shahid played a man who involves self-destruction mode after his girlfriend (Kiara Advani) marries another man. The film is slated for 21 June.

Super 30

Super 30 is a real-life story of mathematician Anand Kumar. Interestingly, Anand Kumar is the founder of Super 30, an educational programme which every year helps meritorious students from a low-income family to enter Indian Institute of Technology. The film has Hrithik Roshan and Mrunal Thakur in the lead.

 Mission Mangal

Mission Mangal comes with talent cast including Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Vidya Balan,  Sharman Joshi, Sonakshi Sinha, Kriti Kulhari and Nithya Menon. The film will be jointly produced by Cape of Good Film and Fox Star Studios. Most interestingly, the film is India’s first space film which will be released on 15 August.

ABCD 3

After Katrina Kaif decided to quit ABCD 3, reportedly Sara Ali Khan will replace her role in the film. The film will be starting shooting in 22 January and will hit the cinema on 8 November.
