Film Sarkar Of Vijay Wins The Box Office On The Opening Day

The latest film Sarkar of actor Vijay, which hit over 3000 screens on Deepavali, is winning the box office in Tamil. A report close to director AR Murugadoss quotes as saying that Sarkar collected over Rs 30 crore only in Tamil Nadu. He added that Sarkar succeeded in surpassing the opening day collection of Baahubali 2 in the entire state and they are even expecting the film Sarkar to the highest grosser in Tamil.
The source further added the shows are predicted to be fully occupied for a week. Told indiaexpress.com, he said Sarkar will collect Rs 30 crore for the first two days, and it would slowly go down to Rs 24 crore by Friday. The film will touch Rs 30 crore again on Saturday as it’s a weekend.
A theatre owner said on the condition of anonymity that Sarkar has brought the most amazing opening for actor Vijay in a long time. He further stated besides oversea collection, the film is doing a good job in neighbouring states, including Kerala and Karnataka. Especially, he just witnessed this type of response only with Rajinikanth films. He also made a prediction that the collection of Sarkar will soar again by the weekends since they are expecting the family crowd.
