Rumour Alert: Disha Patani To Pair Up With Allu Arjun In “Icon”?

Disha Patani, who was most recently seen in Salman Khan’s blockbuster Eid release Bharat (2018), is presently busy shooting for her upcoming film Malang.

Directed by well-known filmmaker Mohit Suri, Malang is a romantic film also featuring Aditya Roy Kapur, Kunal Khemu and evergreen Anil Kapoor in lead roles.

The latest news about Disha Patani is that she has been roped in to play an important character in an upcoming Telugu movie. According to fresh reports, the beautiful actress will be seen sharing the screen space with none other than Telugu superstar Allu Arjun in his 21st film titled Icon.

Filmmaker Venu Sriram is calling the shots for the film. The project has been in the news for a long time now. It is currently in the pre-production stage and the team will start shooting in the coming few months. Several actresses’ names have been linked to the film in the past few months, but the latest buzz has it that Disha Patani has been locked.

Meanwhile, Allu Arjun is busy wrapping up his next film with Trivikram Srinivas. The film titled Ala Vaikuntapuramlo. He is expected to commence the first shooting schedule of Icon right after wrapping up Ala Vaikuntapuramlo.

If Disha Patani is indeed a part of Icon, the film will mark her return to Telugu cinema after a gap of four years. For the uninitiated, the gorgeous actress made her acting debut with the 2015 film Loafer, directed by Puri Jagannadh.

The movie was a box-office success, which led her to find work in Bollywood. In Hindi cinema, Disha Patani has been a part of such successful films as M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016) and Baaghi 2 (2018).
