Dhanush Signs Goundamani For “Pa Pandi” Sequel?

Dhanush directed “Pa Pandi” in 2017. The movie was a critical and commercial success. He is now gearing up to helm the sequel to the much-loved movie.

Dhanush is a multi-talented personality. He has proved his mettle in various creative domains. Be it acting, singing, writing, production or direction, Dhanush has successfully showcased his multi-tasking abilities time and again. Ever since plunging into the filmdom, he has established himself as one of the bankable actors of Tamil films. In addition to Tamil, he has acted in Hindi and English movies as well.
Known to get in to the skin of every character, Dhanush has also went on to debut as a director in 2017 with the film Pa Pandi. The film was critically acclaimed and well received by audiences. The actor went on to cast a good impression about himself as a director.
According to reports, Dhanush is planning to helm a project again. He is reportedly working on a sequel to Pa Pandi. Buzz has it that the actor-filmmaker is roping in Goudamani and Raj Kiran in his film. Goudamani was last seen in the film Vaaimai (2016), directed by Senthil Kumar.
The story of Pa Pandi revolves around the life of a stuntman who travels to meet his teenage love after a fight with his family. Whether he unites with his love or his family, you will know only after watching the film. The movie stars Raj Kiran, Revathi, Prasanna and Chaya Singh in pivotal roles. It also sees Dhanush and Madonna Sebastian play the younger version of Raj Kiran and Revathi in the film.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Dhanush is working on the film Karnan, which is being directed by Mari Selvaraj of Pariyerum Perumal fame. The shooting of the film is still in progress in Tirunelveli. It is expected to be released in mid-2020. The actor is also returning to Bollywood with Aanand L Rai’s next film Atrangi Re, co-starring Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan.
