Last Thursday, Telugu director S. S. Rajamouli made an official announcement about his forthcoming directorial RRR. Remarkably, he stated that the movie would feature two Bollywood stars' initial appearances: Veteran Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn and actress Alia Bhatt. In the film, Alia will act one of the female leads, whereas Ajay will portray a pivotal part in a flashback portion.

Also, Rajamouli revealed that RRR is a Telugu historical fiction flick inspired by the real lives of two famous revolutionaries in the 1920s: Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju.

The director stated:

Filling two male leads in RRR are Jr NTR and Ram Charan. Jr NTR will play the role of Komaram Bheem while Ram Charan will portray Alluri Sitharama Raju, opposite Alia Bhatt. The movie is scheduled to have its global premiere on July 30, 2020, in ten Indian languages.
