Nerkonda Paarvai is an official remake of hit Bollywood film Pink, which starred Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu and Kirti Kulhari in important roles. Filmmaker Boney Kapoor is producing the remake in Tamil.

Ajith Kumar, who was last seen in Tamil action-drama Viswasam, which released on the auspicious occasion of Pongal earlier this year and went on to become a huge money spinner at the box-office, will shortly be seen in the much-awaited courtroom drama, Nerkonda Paarvai.

The film is an official remake of immensely successful Hindi movie called Pink (2016), which had Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu and Kirti Kulhari in lead roles. Ajith Kumar is playing the same role in the remake which Big B essayed in the original film.

Directed by V Vinoth and produced by filmmaker Boney Kapoor, Nerkonda Paarvai boasts of an enormously talented support cast which includes the likes of Shraddha Srinath, Vidya Balan, Abhirami Venkatachalam, Adhik Ravichandran, and Rangaraj Pandey.

National award-winning actress Vidya Balan is set to make her Tamil debut with the much-awaited movie.

The Thala Ajith Kumar starrer Nerkonda Paarvai was earlier set to hit the marquee on August 10. However, if fresh reports are to be believed, there is some change in the plan in the release date of the legal thriller. Reportedly, the makers have decided to prepone the release of the movie from August 10 to August 1. An official announcement confirming the same is awaited though.

According to reports, Zee Studios and Bayview Projects LLP have collaborated to release the film in India, which is made on a humongous budget of ₹ 80 crores approximately. Apart from down South, Nerkonda Paarvai may also release in some screens in the Hindi-speaking markets as well. The makers of the hotly anticipated movie are yet to confirm the development, though.

More details are expected to arrive soon.
