Actress Samantha Akkineni: "I Decided To Do Good Films Or Else Sit At Home"

"Oh Baby" is one such decision. I had always wanted to do a full-fledged comedy before retiring as an actress", said the actress Samantha Akkineni.

Samantha Akkineni would set the screens on fire with her charm with her next Telugu film Oh Baby. The movie is a Telugu remake of the South Korean popular movie Miss Granny. Also at the press meet the actress was very evident and clear about her further movie selections.

She revealed that she would either act only in a good movie or won't work at all. And reportedly this has been her approach towards her artistic career since the last couple of movies. The actress has however done as much as 8 films in the last two years.

During the press conference, the actress was quoted by Indiaglitz saying, "I have decided to do only good films or else sit at home. Rangasthalam, Mahanati, Super Deluxe, and Majili happened after this decision. My choices have now become clear. Oh Baby is one such decision. I had always wanted to do a full-fledged comedy before retiring as an actress. With this film, the wish has been fulfilled."

While talking about her upcoming movie Oh Baby, the actress also revealed that after the completion of the shoot for Oh Baby it had made her so emotional that she wanted to give a tight hug to her mom and ask about her dreams when she was young.

The film is helmed by director BV Nandini Reddy. Talking about the film the director hinted that the movie would relate with every Indian family and they would see their mother and grandmother's lives in it.

Nandini Reddy also revealed that Samantha herself was the one who recommended the movie to her and before this she had only watched a couple of Korean films. And after the film, the director was left in a such a huge pot full of enthusiasm that it convinced her to make an Indian version of it.

Apart from Samantha Akkineni, actors like Naga Shaurya, Lakshmi, Rao Ramesh, and Snigdha also plays a vital role in the comedy fantasy film. It is produced by Suresh Productions, People's Media Factory, and Guru Films. The movie is all set to hit the screens on 5 July 2019.
