Stevie Nicks kicked off the induction ceremony held in Brooklyn, NY with a series of her iconic hits including Stand Back, Leather and Lace, Edge of Seventeen and Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around and the fans went crazy.
Stevie Nicks got inducted into the ceremony as a solo artist. She also becomes the first woman to be honored twice in her career by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, following her Fleetwood Mac’s 1998 induction.
She opened the ceremony with a stirring rendition of Stand Back, followed by Leather and Lace featuring Don Henley. Stevie surprisingly brought Harry Styles onstage for their collaboration Stop Draggin' My Heart Around, with Harry tacking Petty's vocals.
Stevie closed out her set with her massive hit named Edge of Seventeen before the 25-year-old singer returned to induct her into Rock Hall with one moving speech, highlighting her accomplishments and declaring her his idol.
Stevie then delivered one charming 6-minute monologue about her life and career. She also encouraged her fellow female artists to seek the same career heights that she has achieved. "What I am doing is opening up the door," Stevie said. "The times are different, and it's gonna be hard but I know someone will be able to do it, and I will give enough interviews to tell you what to do.
At backstage, Stevie Nicks also talked about her friendship with Harry Styles, but she made a mistake when suggesting that Harry was a member of ’N Sync.
