Synopsis

Aamir and Kareena-starrer thriller drama delves into the sordid underbelly of city life. The film centers the lives of three main characters which are Surjan Singh Shekhawat (Aamir Khan), Roshni (Rani Mukherji), and Rosy (Kareena Kapoor). Surjan is an inspector whose investigations bring him to housewife Roshi and prostitute Rosy.

Following the rom-com super hit Honey Moon Travels Pvt. Ltd (2007), the director Reema Kagti got several approaches with good ideas for one follow-up. However, she took the plunge to produce Talaash herself with the support of screenwriter Zoya Akhtar.

The script took no time to attract megastar Aamir Khan, so he agreed to team up with her. Kareena Kapoor Khan and Rani Mukerji then join him.
