"Spider-man" Tom Holland: "Robert Downey Jr. Holds A Special Place In My Life"

Avengers: Infinity War witnessed one of the most heart-rending scenes in MCU’s history. It was the moment when Peter Parker, played by Tom Holland, faded into ashes before the eyes of Tony Stark aka Iron Man.

Post the intense battle in Avengers: Endgame, Peter Parker goes back to Earth where everything has been normal again. Tom Holland states that to him and to his character Spider-man, seeing Iron Man, portrayed by Robert Downey Jr., sacrificed himself in the ending was never easy, if not to say that it was really traumatic.

The British young actor will relive the role of alter-ego web-shooter hero in the Spiderman: Far From Home movie coming up next.

He shared in a recent interview:

The actor pays the same respect to Robert Downey Jr. as his role does to Tony Stark. He claimed that he was inspired by Downey to be a modest and diligent actor.

The upcoming film indicates the second single franchise of Holland as a superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Spider-Man: Far From Home takes place in the aftermath of the Endgame battle. According to Holland, the movie focuses on how Peter Parker tries to move on from the loss of Mr. Stark as well as how he gets used to and fulfills his responsibilities as an Avenger.
