Why Priyanka Chopra Didn't Present At Meghan Markle's Baby Shower?

The baby shower ceremony of Meghan Markle turned out to be a star-studded party with the attendance of  Amal Clooney, Abigail Spencer, Serena Williams and around 20 of Duchess Meghan's closest friends. However, no one saw Priyanka Chopra, Meghan's best friend, at the bash.

The private baby shower bash celebrated at the Mark Hotel in New York on Wednesday, February 20. Reportedly, the flowers at the bash were from Lewis Miller, the Michelin-star chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten prepared the food and the host was Williams.

However, no one saw her best friend Priyanka Chopra at the affair. According to the TMZ report, the A Kid Like Jake's actress was busy at the meetings in Los Angeles, an event relating to her upcoming book. The book named Unfinished is the ‘collection of personal essays, stories, and observations’ of Priyanka, sharing her own short stories and personal experiences aiming at encouraging women to dream big. Unfinished will be published in 2019.

Priyanka Chopra posted an image from Beverly Hills, Los Angeles as an explanation for her absence. She captioned: "Mellow Yellow." However, PeeCee and Meghan still maintain their friendship for ages though not seen in presence at the important events of each other. Last year, Priyanka was present at the wedding of Meghan and Prince Harry, but the Duchess of Sussex couldn't attend her nuptials.

In a recent interview, Meghan shared: "You know when you meet someone, and you just click? It was just an easy, natural progression. We've managed to keep in touch via email and text and try to see each other whenever we're both in the same town."
