Lily James And Armie Hammer Cast In Netflix’s Adaptation Movie

Armie Hammer and Lily James will play the leading roles in the new Netflix’s movie "Rebecca". The movie is based on the 1938’s best-selling gothic thriller novel of the same name by famous writer Daphne du Maurier.

Armie Hammer and Lily James will play as leads in the new Netflix’s movie Rebecca, with Ben Wheatley in the director’s chair. The film is based on the 1938’s best-selling novel of the same name by famous writer Daphne du Maurier.
According to Netflix, screenwriter Jane Goldman, who is best-known for X-men: First Class and X-men: Days of Future Past, Kingsman series, will adapt the book. The movie will chronicle the story of a newly married woman who goes to her new house in the imposing Manderly family estate located on isolated English coast. After arriving at her home, she realizes that she has to fight with the shadow of her husband’s first wife, Rebecca who passed away in the boating accident one year ago.
Meanwhile, Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner will cooperate with Nira Park to produce the movie. It is said that the film will start production this spring. Also, this is not the first time a novel has been brought to the big screen. One of the most famous adaptations is Rebecca (1940) directed by Alfred Hitchcock. Previously, the film which starring Laurence Oliver and Joan Fontaine won two Academy Awards including Best Pictures and Cinematography. Besides, Laurence Oliver and Joan Fontaine were also Oscar-nominated for their roles.
Lily James, who is most known for her roles in Disney live-action Cinderella, romantic musical movie Mama Mia, Here We Go Again, and action movie Baby Driver will play the lead in the new adaptation of "Rebecca". Besides, the 29-year-old actress will also appear in an untitled movie of director Danny Boyle.
Armie Hammer, who is famous for his role in Call Me By Your Name, will play Maxim de Winter in the new adaptation movie. The 32-year-old actor used to work with director Ben Wheatley in 2016’s action movie Free Fire. His upcoming films are Hotel Mumbai, On The Basis Of Sex and an untitled movie of Babak Anvari
