Sushant Singh Rajput is on cloud nine after the great success of his latest film Chhichhore (2019). Also starring Shraddha Kapoor in the lead role, the movie tells the story of a bunch of college friends who reunite at an important juncture in their lives.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Chhichhore is produced by well-known Sajid Nadiadwala. The latest we hear about Sushant Singh Rajput and Nadiadwala is that the duo has signed a three-film deal. Yes, after Chhichhore, Sushant will do two more films for Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
“Sushant has Drive that is releasing on the digital stream now. After that, he has Dil Bechaara which is the remake of The Fault In Our Stars (2014). But he has not signed any other film. He has been roped in by Sajid Nadiadwala for a three-film deal. Although Nadiadwala wanted to get him on board before the release of Chhichhore, the success of the film has only helped him make the decision,” a source tells a popular entertainment website.
The source goes on to add that the films which Sushant Singh Rajput has been signed for are yet to be finalized. “He will do two more films under the banner, but it is not yet known which ones he is signing. There is a slight chance that he might reunite with Abhishek Chaubey for the Hindi remake of Jigarthanda (2014) which also stars Rajkummar Rao.
But none of it is signed on the dotted line. The producer and the actor are discussing a few scripts and will make a formal announcement once they lock something on paper. But one thing is for sure - he will definitely be seen in two more films that will be bankrolled by Nadiadwala”.
