Besides the daring material trends, satin is an everyday alternative to vinyl and the transparency trend, which gives every wardrobe a touch of pomp and glory. The delicate, high-shine material is showing up everywhere, from feminine slip dresses to wide trousers and gorgeous gowns.

Whether it’s a printed silk shirt worn with high-waisted straight-cut jeans and flats, or a satin slip dress over a white T-shirt and mules, adding a silk/satin texture into your look doesn’t have to look boring. Some of our favorite celebrity style icons including Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra are rocking this trend - so we thought we'd start off with a little silk & satin inspiration and styling tips from them.

It won’t be wrong to say that desi girl Priyanka Chopra has become a fashion icon and a trendsetter for millions around the globe. Attending Cannes 2019, the actress was seen donning in a plunging ice blue silk gown and it immediately became one of our favorites. The Bollywood star highlighted her svelte waist with a thick white belt around her middle and teetered on a pair of white strappy sandals. She looked perfectly suited to her surroundings in a white, wide-brimmed hat.

Look like Priyanka Chopra has a never-ending passion for satin silk. For Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner Jonas's rehearsal dinner, Priyanka Chopra wore a pretty chic white satin silk strapless gown, with a thigh-high slit and looked undeniably ravishing.

Alia Bhatt

There is one more thing that Alia Bhatt does the best other than acting and that is fashion. On a promotion spree along for her film Gully Boy, the diva opted for a green and blue satin mini floral dress with big prints. The outfit’s balloon sleeves accentuated the look and the mini A-line dress was flaunting her perfectly toned legs. While she skipped accessories, her yellow strappy heels added a quirk touch to her look.

The actress recently had her fashion game on point when she stepped out for the promotions of her latest film, Bharat. It is not just elegance but affordable and looks perfect for confusing weather.

Gracing the GQ style and culture award 2019, Anushka Sharma channeled boss lady in a honeycomb printed yellow-black stripe silk pantsuit which featured pointy shoulder pads teamed with a pair of black high-heel from Louboutin. Pulling her hair back into a sleek ponytail, Anushka rounded her look with minimal makeup.

Sonam Kapoor

Sonam Kapoor looked like a queen in a purple lilac satin gown at the red carpet of Zee Cine Awards. Her sophisticated gown featuring a pleat detail bust and a plunging neckline was lent some drama via the attached cape. She kept her hair loose and accessorized her look with earrings, rings and a Jimmy Choo clutch.
