Aishwarya Rai Showcases Her Sartorial Flair In A Black Suit As She Attends "Maleficent" Trailer Launch

It was reported that Aishwarya Rai is all set to lend her voice to Angelina Jolie’s character in the Hindi dubbed version of Disney’s Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. The actress recently turned heads in a bold avatar at the film’s trailer launch event in Mumbai.

For her appearance, Aishwarya rocked a sharp black suit that she paired with a printed top. The stunner kept her tresses open and went for glossy nude lips and oodles of mascara. Sky-high heels and statement rings helped to complete her look.

A couple of days ago, the diva took to her Instagram to announce that she will be voicing to the lead character in the Hindi dubbed version of Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. Sharing a video featuring her in Maleficent's black robes, Aishwarya wrote, “Maleficent. Happy to be part of the Disney Family”.

Talking about her experience of dubbing for a character, the actress said, "When you go to do dubbing, you decide the way you want to essay a particular scene because you had enacted it. But this time I was going to do a voice-over for a role enacted by another actor and then we were changing the language... It was a collaborative effort on arriving at how to say those lines."

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is the sequel of the 2014 movie Maleficent and is scheduled to hit the cinema on 18 October. Helmed by Joachim Rønning, the film also features Michelle Pfeiffer, Elle Fanning, Juno Temple, and Sam Riley in the pivotal roles.

On the other hand, Aishwarya Rai last appeared in Fanney Khan alongside Rajkummar Rao and Anil Kapoor. Reportedly, the actress will be soon returning to the big screens with Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan in which she will be featuring in a double role.
