Zaira Wasim Won't Take Part In "The Sky Is Pink" Promotions With Priyanka Chopra

18-year-old actress Zaira Wasim announced her departure from the film industry a few days ago through a lengthy post on her social media. Bollywood celebrities and fans were left shocked and divided in opinion after Zaira Wasim reasoned that becoming a Bollywood star "damaged" her relationship with God.

However, Zaira Wasim will soon to be seen in 'The Sky Is Pink' alongside Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar in the lead role. Now according to the report, she will also withdraw from the film promotion.

The source further added that Zaira Wasim first informed director Shonali Bose and The Sky Is Pink team of her decision.

Talking about Zaira Wasim's decision, the production house issue a statement saying they "will be supportive of her in every way".

The statement read: "Zaira is an exceptional artiste and we are lucky to have had her play Aisha Chaudhury in our film, The Sky Is Pink. She has been a complete professional all through the shoot of the film, which concluded earlier this month. This is a purely personal decision, which she has taken after much thought and we will be supportive of her in every way - now and always."

Zaira Wasim is a young talented actress who recognized for her work in first blockbuster Dangal. She won Best Supporting Actress Award for Dangal by Filmfare and Most Promising Newcomer (Female) award given by Star Screen Awards for the same film.
