Preity Zinta, who was last seen in “Bhaiaji Superhit” (2018), was reportedly offered to play the second lead in the official remake of cult Hindi film “Satte Pe Satta” (1982).

Once Preity Zinta used to be one of the leading actresses of Hindi cinema. She has delivered a number of hits in her heyday. Now rumours have surfaced that Preity Zinta was recently approached to play a pivotal part in Farah Khan’s next directorial venture, which is an official remake of cult Hindi film Satte Pe Satta (1982). However, it was not the lead role that evergreen actress Hema Malini played in the original film.

The lead role in the film is reportedly being played by the reigning queen of Bollywood, Deepika Padukone, while Hrithik Roshan is rumoured to be stepping into the shoes of Amitabh Bachchan. According to reports, Preity Zinta did not accept the offer as she does not want to play second fiddle to Deepika in the film.

A source close to Preity Zinta has reacted to these rumours. Talking to a leading publication, the source said, “Not true at all”.
