Vicky Kaushal On Stepping Into Shah Rukh's Shoe In Rakesh Sharma Biopic: Wait For The Official Announcement

On being asked about featuring in the Rakesh Sharma biopic, Vicky Kaushal did not deny working on the project and asked to wait for the official announcement.

There is a lot of speculation around who would be seen in the biopic on first Indian to travel in space, Rakesh Sharma. The film was initially offered to Aamir Khan, but the actor confessed that role would suit Shah Rukh Khan more. And as the makers were prepping up to begin the pre-production with Shah Rukh as the lead, things went berserk, and the actor decided to opt out of the film due to the big debacle of Zero (2018).

And now the writer of Saare Jahaan Se Achcha Anjum Rajabali has confirmed that Shah Rukh Khan has indeed walked out the biotic project. There is a rumour that actor Vicky Kaushal seems to be the next choice for the role.

When asked about replacing Shah Rukh Khan, Uri star neither accepted nor rejected that he had been roped into the film. In a few words, he said that an official announcement would be soon made and that one needed to wait for it.
