“I had been an NCC cadet and was used to walking in boots,” Asha Bhat said when the Miss Supranational 2014 title comes to her in the wildest of dreams.
Today, she presents in Top 50 Most Desirable Women and her story from a member of National Cadet Corps to the crown has still surprised the world. As her incredible journey continues to inspire the youth, here is how Asha Bhat become the first Indian to be crowned Miss Supranational 2014.
"I had no clue about the glamour industry and how it works"
On December 5, 2014, Asha Bhat surpassed 70 contestants from all other continents to become Miss Supranational 2014. However, the beauty queen in an interview after the pageant confessed that at that time she knew hardly anything about the industry and how it actually works. Moreover, she had just almost three weeks to prepare for the competition. Nevertheless, in her luggage to the pageant is a strong will and a good intention to work for the future of women and primary education.
The breakthrough in Asha Bhat's life
Although Asha Bhat never wanted to become a model, the Miss Diva contest in 2013 came across her path like destiny awaited her. Before that, Asha Bhat used to a student in Electronic and Communication Engineering at RV College of Engineering and an NCC caded. But the contest helped her realize that she can travel around the world, meeting new people while representing the country. When her parent gave her full support, she finally signed for the contest.
Even though she has no experience of walking in a high heel or the ramp, but confidence is always her biggest plus point. Two weeks before the contest, Asha Bhat was trained with a team of fitness trainers, choreographers, designer to help her had the best thing for the competition ahead.
The most challenging part
And when Miss Supranational 2014 called out her name as the winner, Asha Bhat until then bear the weight of the title. After all, she proud to be the first Indian to won the prestigious title at the international level as well as enhanced Indian's image.
Making the first steps to the glamour world
5 years after winning the pageant, is one of the hottest women in Top 50 Most Desirable Women, Asha has just decided to enter the most thriving industry in India - the film industry. Reportedly, she has taken the debut role in Junglee opposite Vidyut Jammwal.
Talking about her decision to make debut in the film, Asha said:
Since Junglee was released earlier this year on 29 March, the film has received mixed opinions from both the critic and audience. However, most of them praised the film for its action scenes and martial arts performed by Jammwal.
Carving her path in Bollywood from the starting point, we hope that Asha Bhat with her glamour will conquer Bollywood with her talent and skill.
