The Bride Deepika Bursts Into Tears In Her Mehendi And Sangeet Ceremonies

It seems like the wedding of the nation’s most talked about couple, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, is a relatively private bash. With virtually no picture surfaced online, to get a peek into the wedding functions is seemingly impossible.

However, some scarce information about the nuptials finally trickled out. The two got engaged on Monday with the presence of only 40 people, including their family and close friends, as a report in Mumbai Mirror. While the bride Deepika reportedly put on a white wedding dress, the groom Ranveer went with a black suit for their important day. On Tuesday, there were two more ceremonies taken place, comprising of mehendi in the morning and afterwards is sangeet in the evening.

According to a report from DNA, both ceremonies were held at two different venues, in which Ranveer’s function took place at the CastaDiva Resort, offering an over-looking view to the Lake Como and Deepika’s ceremony was celebrated at Villa d’Este.

What made their ceremony outstanding was that all the male family members applied mehendi onto their palms.

Two singers Shubha Mudgal and Harshdeep Kaur reportedly put on some performances during the mehendi, DNA said. While Harshdeep performed mehendi songs, singer Shubha went with Thumri songs. In addition, a couple of film songs were played as well, DNA added. The groom Ranveer reportedly could not get enough of dancing to his hit song, Tune Maari Entriyaan.

For sangeet, the two Ranveer and Deepica colour-coordinated their outfits, according to Mumbai Mirror. They were dressed in Sabyasachi creations in shades of red and pink. During the wedding, the bride Deepika reportedly could not help but tear up at the nuptials even when her groom comforted her. A report in Pinkvilla quotes a guest as saying when Shubha Mudgal was singing a thumri, Deepika got relatively emotional and she was in tears. She then broke down and Ranveer, who understood her emotional situation, stepped closer to her, gave her a tight hug and consoled his wife. The groom ensured Deepika smiled again by doing many crazy love antics.

As per a report from ANI, the couple is about to have a Konkani wedding on Wednesday morning. Meanwhile, according to Mumbai Mirror, an Anand Karaj function in Sikh tradition is going to take place on the next day. On Thursday evening, the duo is also expected to hold a private dinner before flying out of Italy.
