Sonakshi Sinha Opens Up About Old Link-Up Rumours With Shahid Kapoor

Sonakshi Sinha, who has completed a decade in Bollywood, has always tried to focus more on her work than becoming great fodder for gossip columns. But no matter how much one tries, actors cannot hardly keep themselves away from the prying eyes of the media and deal with heaps of rumours.

Years ago, when Sonakshi Sinha was working with superstar Shahid Kapoor on their 2013 romantic film R Rajkumar, rumour mills went into overdrive suggesting that the onscreen romance transcended into off-screen as well.

During her latest interview with an entertainment portal, Sonakshi Sinha opened up about old link-up rumours with Shahid Kapoor, saying the rumours did not bother her and that the two are still good friends.

The actress said that she feels sometimes these rumours just start. People do not have many things to talk about. When two single people are shooting, they are like, ‘Oh, what to do, let’s start a rumour’. She said it is quite funny and it did not bother her. Shahid and she are good friends even today. At that time, they would laugh it off too. It never bothered the two.

Shahid Kapoor, who was last seen in Kabir Singh (2019), has previously been in relationships with Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. He married Mira Rajput in the year 2015 and the couple has two adorable kids, daughter Misha and son Zain.

When asked about her own wedding plans, Sonakshi Sinha said it is something that she will do when she is ready for it. Her family does not pressurise her because they see how happy she is. They know she is working and enjoying her work. She quipped she has to find a boy, only then she can get married.

On the work front, Sonakshi Sinha will next be seen in the upcoming film Bhuj: The Pride of India. The film reunites her with her Son Of Sardar (2012) co-star Ajay Devgn and is set to hit the marquee in 2020 only.
