The makers have taken the decision to avoid a clash with superstar Hrithik Roshan’s forthcoming film, Super 30. Based on the life of award-winning mathematician Anand Kumar, Super 30 is one of the most-awaited films of 2019. It itself has seen several delays in its release in the past few months. But now the movie is set to release on 12th July.

Coming back to Jabariya Jodi, the Balaji Motion Pictures’ venture has also faced a number of delays in its release. The movie was originally set to release on 17th May. However, a new release date of 12th July was announced by the makers later. But when superstar Hrithik Roshan also decided to release his film Super 30 on the same date, the makers of Jabariya Jodi changed their film’s release date again and pushed it to 2nd August.

Jabariya Jodi, which is a romantic comedy, reunites Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra after a gap of five years. The duo was last seen together in Dharma Productions and Phantom Films’ Hasee Toh Phasee (2014). The audience loved their crackling chemistry in Hasee Toh Phasee. The posters of their upcoming film Jabariya Jodi have received a good response from the audience, so it will be interesting to see how they react to the film.

In Jabariya Jodi, Sidharth Malhotra plays the character of Abhay, a Bihari man who kidnaps grooms and forces them to marry at gunpoint. Parineeti Chopra, on the other hand, plays the role of Babli, a happy-go-lucky girl who is also a romantic at heart. The movie is based on the practice of forced marriages prevailing in the Indian state of Bihar.

Produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shailesh R. Singh, Jabariya Jodi is directed by Prashant Singh. Don’t forget to catch the film at the cinemas on 2nd August.
