Sidharth Malhotra, who was last seen in Jabariya Jodi (2019) alongside Parineeti Chopra, is currently awaiting the release of his next film Marjaavaan. Besides him, the forthcoming film also stars Rakul Preet Singh, Tara Sutaria and Riteish Deshmukh in important roles. The trailer of the movie was unveiled a couple of weeks ago, which received rousing response from the audience. The songs are also doing well on the charts.
Marjaavaan reunites actor Sidharth Malhotra with Riteish Deshmukh after five years. The two were last seen together in Ekta Kapoor’s Ek Villain (2014) which turned out to be a massive hit at the box-office. The duo is thrilled about joining forces once again for a film after Ek Villain.
On reuniting with Riteish after a long gap of five years, Sidharth Malhotra told a newswire, “I was very excited. This is the first time that two actors have come as a ‘jodi’ but in positive and negative roles. The first time when we came, it was very new for both of us. It was my third film and his first time in playing a character with a negative shade. People really liked it. This time, we are back in different avatars. I think we are there to give far more action, entertainment, clash to the audience, so I was super excited.”
Just like Ek Villain, Riteish Deshmukh is playing a villain in Marjaavaan as well. However, there is a twist in the tale. The actor will be seen as a dwarf villain with a height of just three feet. “I always say that I am playing a three feet tall guy but this is the most larger-than-life character that I have played on-screen so that makes it more exciting,” Deshmukh said in an interview.
Produced under the banners of Emmay Entertainment and T-Series Films, Marjaavaan is directed by Milap Zaveri who wrote Ek Villain. The film is scheduled to buzz into cinemas worldwide on 15th November, 2019.
