Shraddha Kapoor Has No Regrets About Opting Out Of Saina Nehwal Biopic

Shraddha Kapoor was all set to play ace badminton player Saina Nehwal in her biopic. However, due to her poor health and busy schedule, she had to opt out of the project.

Shraddha Kapoor is busy delivering one successful film after another. Her films Saaho (2019) and Chhichhore (2019) have done exceptional business at the box-office, adding two more hits to the actress’ repertoire. After the huge success of her last two releases, Shraddha Kapoor is now awaiting the release of her next film Street Dancer 3D with Varun Dhawan.

The actress was also about to play ace badminton player Saina Nehwal in her biopic, titled Saina. She had even started training to get into the skin of the character. However, as ill-luck would have it, she fell ill during the preparation and eventually opted out of the project, so that her other films don’t suffer.

Shraddha Kapoor explained:

The actress added that she has no regrets about losing out on the project as she did not want the makers to wait.

The Saina Nehwal biopic will be directed by well-known filmmaker Amol Gupte. After Shraddha Kapoor opted out of the project, the makers roped in Parineeti Chopra to play the part. The film will soon go on floors.
