Film Zero Of Shah Rukh Khan Runs Into Trouble When Allegedly Hurting Sikh Community's Sentiments

DSGMC (Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee) general secretary, Manjinder Singh Sirsa brought a complaint against actor Shah Rukh Khan. Given the fact that he allegedly hurts the Sikh community’s sentiments in his upcoming 2018 film Zero.

Sirsa, in a complaint lodged at the North Avenue Police Station, has said that they have gotten a lot of complaints from the Sikh Sangat.

Sirsa alleged that in the movie promo, Shah Rukh Khan has been dressed in ‘Gatra Kirpan’ (Article of Sikh Faith) which generated an outrage among the Sikh community on the whole world.

The legislator from Akali Dal told the police that only ‘Amrithhari Sikh’ is able to put on Gatra Kirpan, according to the Sikh Rehat Maryada. He also urged the police on lodging FIR to the movie.

He further summited a request to the authorities about the movie promo’s broadcasting right. He wants the promo of movie Zero in which Shah Rukh Khan is clothed in Gatra Kirpan, should be eliminated without any delay.

He then added that not only does the Bollywood star appear putting on the Kirpan but the poster also shows the star under a lighter mood by that means showing the faith’s Sikh article in a lighter vein. Sirsa continued that Sikhs is unable to tolerate the mischievous acts both in films and in real life.

He said that Sikh Guru Sahiban has granted power as well as strength to the Sikhs for the sake of coping with this situation in case it arises in real life.

Zero is known as the upcoming venture of Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, and also stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif.
