Samantha Akkineni recently took to her Twitter to kick off the One Bucket Challenge in an attempt to bring public attention to the water crisis in our country.

Water scarcity has always been one of the major issues in many parts of the country. Recently, Hyderabad is facing the same problem with some reports stating that the district is on the brink of running dry. Realizing the importance of saving water on a daily basis, South star Samantha Akkineni is doing her bit right now.

Today, the gorgeous actress took to her Twitter to kick off One Bucket Challenge in an attempt to bring public attention to the issue. This challenge asks the participant to use only a bucket of water for all purposes in an entire day including washing hands, brushing or taking a bath.

Samantha Akkineni said that she will be sharing photos of her usage of a bucket of water throughout a day this Sunday. With the hashtag #everydropcounts, the 32-year-old star urges her fans to take up the meaningful challenge with her.

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Samantha Akkineni is currently riding high on the runaway success of her latest release Oh! Baby. The film is highly appreciated by both the critics and audiences and has no plans to slow down at the box office.

Helmed by B. V. Nandini Reddy, the fantasy flick is the remake of 2014’s South Korean super hit film Miss Granny and also features Naga Shaurya, Rajendra Prasad and Lakshmi in the pivotal roles. Oh! Baby follows a 70-year-old woman called Savitri who is magically given the opportunity to relive her youth in the body of a 24-year-old young girl.
