Rekha, the veteran actor in Telugu film industry and the charming fashionista of Bollywood, has recently celebrated her birthday. Though having been on screen for more than 50 years, Rekha still has maintained the loves of a large number of fans. Four years after the debut in 1966, Rekha, no longer a child actress, marked a great milestone in her casting career with the lead role of a village girl Chanda in Sawan Badhon. During her acting career, Rekha has contributed in more than 180 films for Bollywood.
She has won three Filmfare Awards, two for Best Actress and one for Best Supporting Actress. Especially, in 1981 she received the National Film Award for Best Actress.
