Actors Vicky Kaushal and Ranveer Singh have officially put an end to speculation when revealing that the duo will play Aurangzeb and Dara Shikoh, respectively, in the historical epic, Takht, directed by Karan Johar. The Bollywood stars spilled the beans about their roles in the Actors Roundtable 2018 with journalist Rajeev Masand.

Ranveer slapped his co-star Vicky on his arm and then asked, “Are you listening?” Rajeev quickly interjected and revealed that Vicky will play the Mughal ruler Aurangzeb, opposite Ranveer’s character, the brother of Aurangzeb, Dara Shikoh.

For the record, the film Takht features the most monumental ensemble cast of all time, including Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar Kareena Kapoor Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, and Anil Kapoor. Some rumors are doing the round that Kareena will play Aurangzeb and Dara Shikoh’s sister, Jahanara. Meanwhile, Anil Kapoor will be their father, Alia will be Dara Shikoh’s wife, and Bhumi will be Aurangzeb’s wife.  Janhvi will be playing a slave girl, as per Times of India.
