Inshallah has been in the centre of talk ever since the project was out in the open. Then and again, after actor Salman Khan stepped back from the film, it was reported that the movie has been postponed and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali will work on another flick that star Alia Bhatt as the lead role.
The latest source said that Bhansali has come to his fav Ranveer Singh to suggest him a cameo. However, the Simmba star brushed off the offer. No, you did not misread that.
According to a Mumbai Mirror report, after the fiasco of Inshallah, Sanjay Leela Bhansali is ready to do a new film with actress Alia Bhatt and he aspired to cast Ranveer as a special guest. But he has turned the offer down and this has made Alia quite upset.
Interestingly, it was also suggested by some sources that the national award-bagging director never approached Ranveer for this movie! As there hasn’t been any official statement regarding Bhansali’s new project yet, what we can do at the present is to wait and see.
Ranveer Singh and Sanjay Leela Bhansali have a great and special bond on the work aspect. From the two’s first-ever collab Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela to Padmaavat and Bajirao Mastani, both of them have made magic on the big screens. Let’s all see when their next collaboration will happen.
In the meantime, Ranveer Singh will be seen in a Kabir Khan directorial ’83 along with his wife Deepika Padukone. The film is a story based on the real journey of legendary cricketer Kapil Dev. Deepika will portray Romi Dev, Kapil’s wife on-screen. The film is all set to go on floors in April next year.
