2018 was a memorable year for Ranveer Singh. Not only did his two blockbuster movies Padmaavat and Simmba work wonder at the box office but also he got married to the women he loves. Last night, the 33-year-old won the Best Actor Award (Critics) at the 64th Filmfare Awards, and the award was given to him by his beautiful wife, Deepika Padukone.

In the viral video clip, Ranveer Singh gets down on one knee as his wife presents the award trophy to him and she responds him with a kiss. Accepting the award from Deepika, the actor said,

Ranveer Singh won the Critics Award for Best Actor for his outstanding performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat. He also shared the award with actor Ayushmann Khurrana, who received it for Andhadhun. During his acceptance speech, the 33-year-old actor also expressed that he wants to dedicate this award for his grandmother because his role as Alauddin Khilji is her favourite character.

To celebrate Ranveer’s win, Deepika took to her Instagram to share a particular photo of her husband, Vicky Kaushal and Ranbir Kapoor partying together.

Deepika Padukone lost to Neena Gupta and Alia Bhatt in the Best Actor (Female) category. Neena took home with the Critics Award for Best Actor in A Leading Role (Female) award for Badhaai Ho while Alia won Popular Best Actor In A Leading Role (Female) Award for Raazi.

Raazi and Badhaai Ho became one of the big winners at the award show. While Raazi won 5 awards including Best Director and Best Film, Badhaai Ho also won some awards for which Surekha Sikri and Gajraj Rao walked away with Best Actor In A Supporting Role categories (for male and female)

Vicky Kaushal received an award for his supporting role in Sanju. The 30-year-old actor also gave his first performance on the Filmfare's stage as a tribute to megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

The prestigious ceremony was also graced by Katrina Kaif, Jahnvi Kapoor, Karan Johar, Sonam Kapoor, Kajol, Sunny Leone, Rajkummar Rao, Arjun Kapoor, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and many others.
