Starring Rajkummar Rao and Mouni Roy in lead roles, “Made In China” started production in the second half of 2018. Produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, the movie is set to hit the marquee on 30th August, 2019

Rajkummar Rao and Mouni Roy, who are coming together for the first time ever, have wrapped up Made In China, their forthcoming film. The movie has been produced by Dinesh Vijan, who has previously made such successful films as Hindi Medium (2017), Stree (2018) and Luka Chuppi (2019).

Mouni Roy, who is just three films old in Bollywood, had a bittersweet experience while bidding adieu to the cast and crew on the last day of the shoot. The gorgeous actress, who has done some impressive work on television, shared a series of pictures from the wrap-up party on the sets of Made In China.

On the final day of the shoot, the cast and crew filmed one last song, “Odhani Odhu”. As soon as the team took the last shot, everyone just let loose and had a gala time by cutting a cake on the sets and dancing together.

Mikhil Musale, director of National Award winning Gujarati film Wrong Side Raju (2016), has directed Made In China. It is a hilarious take on a struggling Gujarati businessman and the out of the ordinary journey that he undertakes to become a successful entrepreneur.

Besides Made In China, Rajkummar Rao has several other exciting projects in his pocket. He is currently shooting for Dinesh Vijan’s next Rooh-Afza, which stars Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead. He also plays a pivotal part in filmmaker Anurag Basu’s untitled directorial venture.

Rao reunites with his Queen (2014) co-star Kangana Ranaut for their next offering Mental Hai Kya, which releases on 26th July. The actor has also given his nod to star in Hansal Mehta’s Turram Khan, co-starring Nushrat Bharucha.

Mouni Roy, on the other hand, is presently shooting with Nawazuddin Siddiqui for an upcoming film called Bole Chudiyan. She will next be seen in Dharma Productions’ big-ticket venture Brahmastra. The fantasy drama also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan and Alia Bhatt in lead roles.
