National award winning actor Ayushmann Khurrana is known for breaking stereotypes by choosing films which breaks social barriers. In his upcoming film Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, the film will focus on same sex relationships. The film has been directed by Anand L. Rai. Trailer has received lot of appreciation from the critics. LGBTQ community have hailed Khurrana for choosing same sex relationship as a topic for his film.

Recently, in an interview Ayushmann Khurrana informed that he showed the trailer to his parents P. Khurrana and Poonam. The actor said that the trailer was not only liked by his parents but also by people who have seen it on social media platforms. The trailer was released on 20 January and it focuses on homophobia which is on rise in the society. A gay couple who are on their way to get married but are forced by their parents to marry their opposite sex. Veteran actress Neena Gupta will play a pivotal role in the film.

With this film, Ayushmann Khurrana becomes a leading actor in the industry to portray a role deeply. Dostana starring John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan was released with less focus on Indian family traditions. Talking about the trailer, Ayushmann Khurrana said that his parents were laughing continuously as they watched it on loop. He also said that after seeing his parent's reaction, he is assured that he managed to connect with an audience regarding the subject i have chosen. They have not only loved it but it was great to see them connect with the topic too.

He said that he often discusses his films with his family. Getting tremendous support from them after announcing Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhaan elated them immensely.
