Actor Pankaj Tripathi is known for his humble nature and exceptional acting skills. Struggling for several years in the film industry has finally landed him a lead role. He will be a solo actor in film Kaagaz which is backed by actor Salman Khan and Dharma Productions. It will be directed by veteran actor and director Satish Kaushik. Pankaj Tripathi will feature alongside Chris Hemsworth in his first international project Dhaka.
Sources have revealed that his film Kaagaz will focus on issues faced by farmers in India. The film is based on the struggles of Lal Bihari, a farmer who is declared dead on Government records. The film will also feature Monal Gajjar and Amar Upadhyay in pivotal roles. Pankaj Tripathi also spoke about how the category of lead heroes was different when he started his career. Pankaj entered the film industry with Run and Omkara in 2004 and since then his varied roles has impressed the audience. His web series Gangs Of Wasseypur gained him much needed appreciation. The actor said that he never imagined such wonderful things were possible for him. Kaagaz being his first solo project makes him a fulfilled actor which is backed by a strong man of the industry.
He recounts how the idea of a Bollywood hero was different 10 years back and now the audience has accepted him with love and he believes in choosing his film with extra care. He also said that he would not compromise on quality but will always work hard to keep the audience entertained. He is happy that he has received such good films this year and he looks forward to work harder.
Pankaj Tripathi will be also seen in Gunjan Saxena’s upcoming biopic The Kargil Girl alongside Janhvi Kapoor, Kriti Sanon-starrer Mimi, Anurag Basu’s Ludo and Kabir Khan’s 83. He will also return with the second season of his popular web series Mirzapur.
