Mrunal Jain is a popular television actor who has been a part of several successful shows like “Bandini”, “Hitler Didi” and “Uttaran”. He has been roped in to play a baddie in Rohit Shetty’s “Sooryavanshi”.

Mrunal Jain, one of the most popular actors on Indian television, known for featuring in such successful shows as Bandini, Hitler Didi and Uttaran, has been missing from the scene for close to two and a half years now. However, the handsome hunk is now back in action with a bang! Yes, you heard it absolutely right! Mrunal Jain has been roped in to play the antagonist in filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s next directorial outing Sooryavanshi which stars megastar Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in lead roles.

Sharing his excitement, the actor tells an entertainment portal, “It is a big break for me. I wanted to do Bollywood and my personality finally worked in my favour. I was not missing intentionally. It is just that I did not get the kind of work I wanted to do.”

Spilling the details about his character in Sooryavanshi, Mrunal Jain says, “I am playing the antagonist in Sooryavanshi. It is fantastic to work with Rohit Shetty.  To work in a film which has Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar surely matters. In my last show (Nagarjuna — Ek Yoddha) also I played Antagonist. I want to strike a balance between TV and films”.

The actor goes on to add that he was not keen on appearing in cameo roles on television as his characters had nothing much to contribute to the storyline. “After hearing a few narrations, I felt that the cameos had nothing much to contribute to the storyline. I went with my instinct, there was nothing like I wanted to avoid cameos or something, but again, I did not get the right roles.”

Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Rohit Shetty’s Rohit Shetty Picturez, Sooryavanshi is a cop drama involving heavy-duty action sequences. The much-awaited film is scheduled to buzz into theatres worldwide on 27th March, 2020.
