Keerthy Suresh Psyched Up About Bollywood Debut With Ajay Devgn In “Maidaan”

Keerthy Suresh is on a roll these days. Right after winning the prestigious National Award for her sterling performance in “Mahanati”, she is set to make her Bollywood debut opposite Ajay Devgn in “Maidaan”.

Popular actress Keerthy Suresh, who appears in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam movies, is on cloud nine these days. Just recently she won the prestigious National Award for her outstanding performance in Telugu film Mahanati (2018). And now she is set to make her Bollywood debut opposite none other than superstar Ajay Devgn in the forthcoming sports biopic Maidaan.

Keerthy Suresh, who has worked with several well-known South Indian filmmakers, has expressed her excitement at the prospect of sharing the screen space with a superstar like Ajay Devgn in her maiden Hindi project. The film mounted the shooting floor on 19th August, 2019. The actress will join the entire team for the shoot shortly.

Expressing her excitement at being a part of the much-awaited film, Keerthy Suresh took to her Twitter handle and wrote that she cannot wait to join the shoot: “Can’t wait to join Maidaan shoot!” she wrote.

Maidaan is a sports biopic based on the life of legendary football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. Ajay Devgn is stepping into his shoes to play the character for the silver screen. The movie shines light on his precious contributions in helping the Indian football team to win the Asian Games of 1951, and 1962.

Filmmaker Amit Sharma, who shot to fame after the massive success of comic-caper Badhaai Ho (2018), is directing the film, while well-known writer Ritesh Shah will be the dialogue writer. Producer Boney Kapoor is producing it in association with ZEE Studios and Chrome Pictures.

Meanwhile, Keerthy Suresh is presently working on a Malayalam film titled Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham. The film is set to release on March 2020. Ajay Devgn, on the other hand, will next be seen in his home production Tanhaji: The Unsung Hero. He is currently shooting for Bhuj: The Pride of India.
