Katrina Kaif To Play A Doctor In Akshay Kumar’s “Sooryavanshi”

Katrina Kaif is working assiduously on her upcoming film Sooryavanshi. Last seen in Ali Abbas Zafar’s blockbuster film Bharat (2019) opposite Salman Khan, Kaif will be seen sharing the screen space with superstar Akshay Kumar in Sooryavanshi. Fans are really looking forward to this collaboration as both actors have joined forces again after a long gap of a decade. Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar were last seen in Farah Khan’s heist drama Tees Maar Khan in the year 2010.

Hit filmmaker Rohit Shetty is helming Sooryavanshi. This is the first time when the trio of Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif and Rohit Shetty is working together on a project. The team keeps sharing between-the-shots images from the sets of the film every now and then, letting film enthusiasts know that they are having a gala time shooting for the action entertainer.

While we all know that Akshay Kumar in playing an ATS officer in Sooryavanshi, there was no update on the character that Katrina Kaif is essaying in the movie. But now, director Rohit Shetty himself has revealed the details of her role in film. When the director recently appeared on No Filter Neha as a guest, he let on that Katrina Kaif will be essaying the character of a doctor in his film.

Sooryavanshi is produced by Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty under their respective banners Dharma Productions and Rohit Shetty Picturez. The movie is slated to roll into theatres on March 27, 2020. Since Rohit Shetty and Akshay Kumar both on the winning streak, a lot of expectations are riding their maiden venture. Sooryavanshi will be Khiladi Kumar’s first release in 2020. He will be later seen in horror-comedy Laxmmi Bomb and historical drama Prithviraj.
