Katrina Kaif Is All Set To Feature In Her First Horror Film

Katrina Kaif, who began her acting career with a box-office dud called “Boom”, has not starred in any horror film to date. But the actress might add a horror flick to her resume soon.

Katrina Kaif, who kick-started her acting career with a box-office dud called Boom (2003), has played numerous roles in her career so far. However, her fans have never seen her in an out-and-out horror film. But if fresh reports are to be believed, the actress is set to add a horror flick to her resume very soon.

Yes, you heard it absolutely right! Katrina Kaif has been signed on to headline an upcoming supernatural thriller called Phonebhoot. Produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani under the banner of Excel Entertainment, Phonebhoot will be helmed by filmmaker Gurmeet Singh. Singh has previously collaborated with Farhan and Ritesh on the Amazon Prime Video Original Inside Edge.

Phonebhoot will mark Kaif’s reunion with Excel Entertainment after Baar Baar Dekho (2016), Though Baar Baar Dekho did not leave the cash registers jingling upon its release, Katrina Kaif has done one of her best and most successful movies Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011) with Farhan and Ritesh.

Talking about the rest of the star cast of Phonebhoot, reports doing the rounds suggest that the eerie, spine-chilling film will also feature Gully Boy (2019) star Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishan Khattar in central characters. The official announcement is yet to be made though.

Last seen in Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat (2019) alongside superstar Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif has just finished shooting for filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s upcoming directorial offering Sooryavanshi. The much-awaited crop drama also features Akshay Kumar in the lead role. Sooryavanshi marks the reunion of Kumar and Kaif after a massive gap of a decade. The duo was last seen together in Tees Maar Khan in the year 2010.
