Kareena Kapoor Khan Wouldn’t Audition For Anyone But Aamir Khan

There is no doubt that Kareena Kapoor Khan is one of the most talented actresses around. Ever since making her acting debut with Refugee in 2000, she has acted in a number of critically and commercially successful films.

But not many people know that she had to never audition to bag any role over the years. But when Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan asked her to appear for an audition for the lead role in his upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha, Kareena Kapoor Khan just could not say no to the superstar.

Yes, Laal Singh Chaddha will always be remembered as the first movie Kareena Kapoor Khan ever auditioned for. During an interaction with media, the actress said that Laal Singh Chaddha is possibly the only film in her career that she has auditioned for, and she would never do it for any kind of cinema or anybody in this world other than Aamir.

For the uninitiated, Laal Singh Chaddha is an official remake of the Hollywood classic Forrest Gump, originally starring Tom Hanks. Aamir Khan is remaking the film after buying the remake rights of Forrest Gump from its makers. The superstar announced the project on his 54^th birthday this year. Well-known actor Atul Kulkarni has worked on the Indian adaptation of the script originally written by Eric Roth. Advait Chandan, who made his directorial debut with Secret Superstar (2017), has been entrusted with the directorial responsibilities of the project.

Kareena Kapoor Khan, who is reuniting with Aamir Khan after the 2012 Reema Kagti directorial Talaash, is currently shooting for the film. The actress said that reuniting with Khan has been unbelievable. She said that he is possibly the greatest cinematic mind India has ever seen and it is her honour to share frame with someone who is so passionate and committed, such a fierce actor from that generation.

Laal Singh Chaddha is scheduled to release on Christmas 2020.
