Kareena Kapoor Khan Confirms “Veere Di Wedding 2” In The Works

Kareena Kapoor Khan is presently basking in the huge success of her recently released film Good Newwz (2019). Co-starring superstar Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh, the comic-caper touched the right chord with the audience and its skyrocketing collection is a proof of how greatly the movie has been accepted by the classes and masses. Made on a moderate budget, Good Newwz has already earned over Rs. 175 crores at the domestic box-office and is now looking at zooming past the much coveted Rs. 200 crore mark soon.

After delivering a power-packed performance in Good Newwz, Kareena Kapoor Khan is now gearing up to promote her next much-awaited film Angrezi Medium. As the title aptly suggests, the movie is a sequel to the 2017 satirical comedy Hindi Medium. It will mark the comeback of National Film Award winning actor Irrfan Khan after he won his battle against cancer. Besides Bebo and Irrfan Khan, Angrezi Medium also stars Radhika Madan in the lead role.

All film enthusiasts would know that Kareena Kapoor Khan made her acting comeback with Ekta Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor’s female-buddy film Veere Di Wedding in 2018. Also starring Sonam Kapoor, Swara Baskar and Shikha Talsania in lead roles, the movie emerged as one of the most successful women-centric films of all time. The latest we hear that the makers are planning a sequel to the chick flick.

While producers Rhea and Ekta Kapoor have always kept mum on the sequel, Kareena Kapoor Khan has now opened up about Veere Di Wedding. Talking to a popular entertainment portal, she confirmed that the makers are planning the sequel and they all are all super excited because part one was amazing. The actress said that both Rhea and Sonam are fantastic and she loves working with them. As per sources, the work on the script is currently underway. The makers are planning to roll the camera in 2020 and release the movie in 2021. An official announcement is awaited though.
