Karan Johar On "Kalank" Fiasco: “It Is My Failure. I’m The Older One, I’m The Wiser One”

Everyone’s favorite filmmaker Karan Johar recently got candid in an interview with DNA on the failure of his recent film "Kalank".

It’s not far off the mark to say Karan Johar is one of a few celebs who are held in high esteem by the public. The reason stands behind this ultimate respect of the audiences for him is hands down his forthrightness with the failures. Everyone’s favorite filmmaker recently got candid in an interview with DNA on the failure of his recent film Kalank.
When asked what happens when a film from his production house turns out to be a debacle? KJo said that success along with failure is something we always “have to learn to deal with" and he is quite clear about one thing that when we notch up a success, we probably “meet it with relief.”
Speaking of the flop of Kalank, Karan made people outright doff their hat on him as he could acknowledge his mistakes. The Koffee With Karan host said,
When asked why KJo thinks Kalank actor Varun Dhawan special, the filmmaker said he has considerable respect for this young talent as according to Karan, he is the minority of lead actors who can walk into the producer’s room and doesn’t blame him for the fiasco.
On the work front, Karan Johar is about to call the shots for the period saga Takht which boasts of an ensemble cast of Kareena Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar, Anil Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, and Janhvi Kapoor.
