Karan Johar Decides To Steer Away From Helming Horror Flicks

Karan Johar recently directed a segment in the Netflix omnibus series “Ghost Stories”. The entire series received lukewarm response from critics and audiences alike.

Karan Johar has directed a number of blockbusters in his directorial career, including Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), My Name Is Khan (2010) and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016). Not just movies, KJo has tried his hands at helming content for web-space as well. He recently called the shots for the Netflix original Ghost Stories. The filmmaker directed one segment of the anthology series.

Meanwhile, Karan Johar is gearing up to commence the first shooting schedule of his next directorial venture Takht. The period drama is being touted as the most expensive film coming from the stable of Dharma Productions. It boasts of an enormous star cast including Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Anil Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Janhvi Kapoor. The film is scheduled for its theatrical release in 2021.
