Karan Johar And Netflix Shake Hands For A Multi-Year Deal, Promising "Limitless Possibilities"

Director-producer Karan Johar has recently inked an exclusive long-term contract with Netflix for more scripts and films, promising limitless possibilities.

The giant streaming service Netflix has recently decided to sign an exclusive multi-year deal with the talented and multi-hyphenate director Karan Johar.
The SVOD service has shaken hands with Dharmatic Entertainment of Karan Johar for a long-term coalition to make new non-scripted and scripted shows along with more featured movies.
This comes round post the Simmba producer inked with the platform in May to be the host of What The Love?, a dating format.
Karan Johar also pulled an oar in two upcoming feature movies for Netflix. He worked as Ghost Stories’ director and Guilty’s producer via Dharmatic. The filmmaker first collaborated with Netflix for the Lust Stories film back in 2018.
Bela Bajaria, head of non-English content of Netflix, shared, “I am incredibly excited about our partnership with Karan Johar – one of India’s greatest modern storytellers. Johar and Dharmatic Entertainment will have all the creative freedom and support they need to create pioneering dramas and unscripted series – as well as films – for our members all over the world.”
Commenting on the deal, Karan Johar mentioned, “With its unique creative freedom and instantaneous global reach, Netflix provides a fearless space for creators. I’m super excited about the projects we already have in development and the limitless possibilities ahead. To create universal stories from India that the world discovers is an incredible and unprecedented opportunity.”
