Starring Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh, Rakul Preet Singh and Tara Sutaria in principal roles, “Marjaavaan” is produced by John Abraham’s friend and frequent collaborator Nikkhil Advani.

John Abraham has deferred the release date of his much-awaited comic-caper Pagalpanti in order to provide a clear release window to friend and frequent collaborator Nikkhil Advani’s forthcoming production venture Marjaavaan.

Directed by Milap Zaveri, Marjaavaan has seen several reshuffles in its release date. Earlier the film was set to enter theatres on 2nd October, but then it was pushed to 22nd November. But now, the Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh, Rakul Preet Singh and Tara Sutaria starrer will open in cinemas on November 8, all thanks to John Abraham.

For the uninitiated, John Abraham and Nikkhil Advani first teamed up 12 years ago for Dharma Productions’ multi-starrer Salaam-e-Ishq (2007). But it was only during the making of their vigilante thriller Satyameva Jayate (2018) that the two grew closer and became best friends.

John got that support from Nikkhil and today, the two are not only good friends but frequent collaborators also. Their recent film Batla House (2019), which hit the marquee on Independence Day, has been doing great business ever since its release.

Milap Zaveri informs that he had screened the trailer of Marjaavaan for John Abraham. He was so impressed with what he saw that he decided to postpone his film Pagalpanti to ensure Marjaavaan gets a solo release.
