As the title of the film aptly suggests, ’83 is based on Indian Cricket team’s unprecedented win against West Indies in the 1983 World Cup. Ranveer Singh plays legendary cricketer Kapil Dev in the movie. It was under his captaincy that India won its first cricket World Cup. Deepika Padukone will be seen as his wife Romi Dev. Though it is a brief character, it is very crucial to the narrative.

83 mounted the shooting floor in London. After completing the London schedule, the team flew back to India to kick-start the next schedule in Mumbai. Deepika Padukone finished shooting for her portion in the film some time ago. And today, the entire cast will wrap up the film in Mumbai.
