If the reports are to be believed, Deepika Padukone will play Kapil Dev’s wife, Romi Bhatia in the film. Not just that, but the diva is also jointly producing this film, say the reports.

Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone is all set to collaborate with her hubby Ranveer Singh in his upcoming venture and sports drama ’83 where he plays the legendary cricketer Kapil Dev. If the reports are to be believed, DP will play Kapil Dev’s wife, Romi Bhatia in the film. Not just that, but the diva is also jointly producing this film, say the reports.

This will be the first time they share the screen space as a real-life married couple since the wedding in November last year. However, it is their fourth collaboration after the massive successes of Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram Leela, Bajirao Mastani and superhit Padmavaat.

Elaborating further over the same, they revealed that she had left the stadium when Indian team lost the wickets but soon came back as she heard the team are the verge of taking the World Cup.

Deepika, who stepped into shoes of a producer for the first time in her upcoming biopic Chhapaak, jumped on board ’83 as a producer. Talking about her producer debut in Chhapaak, she will be playing an acid attack sufferer and starring opposite Vikrant Massey. It’s also her first film after a nearly two-year absence from the big screen since blockbuster Padmaavat.

Meanwhile, her husband Ranveer has been seen in two back-to-back box office hits Simmba and Gully Boy since Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film released.
