“Good Newwz” Box Office Collection Day 5: Akshay Kumar Starrer Sees A Surge On The First Day Of 2020

After a successful opening day, “Good Newwz” box office collection has scored a massive grossing with over Rs 100 crore to kick-start the New Year.

Even meeting a big clash with Salman Khan’s Dabangg 3, Good Newwz box office has witnessed a bang collection on the first day of New Year. While Salman Khan’s film released on the occasion of Christmas, it failed to create firework in the grossing. Otherwise, hitting the theatres after a week, Akshay Kumar’s hit seems to roll the surge during the moments moving to New Year.

This scene also happened to Zero and Simmba at the transferring moments between 2018 and 2019. With the appearance of superstar Shah Rukh Khan, however, Aanand L Rai’s directorial Zero launching at Christmas was a bomb at the box office. Meanwhile, a week later, Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan’s film Simmba became a blockbuster during the time of the New Year.

Featuring the Khiladi of Bollywood, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Kiara Advani, Good Newwz box office waved the success on the final day of 2019. Standing at the doorstep to 2020, the flick earned a whopping grossing of Rs 16.20 crore to make the total collection of Rs 94.60 crore. Then it was completely smooth for the movie to achieve a century on January 1^st, 2020. So, after six days of release, Good Newwz box office has remained its speedy runs to enter Rs 100 crore club.

On Wednesday, film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to announce the daily figures of Raj Mehta’s film.

He later compared the hit to 2018 last release Simmba in another tweet, pointing the similarity of two films launching in the same period.

As there is no amazing Bollywood or Hollywood release in the next week, Good Newwz box office collection might continue its generous leap. Nevertheless, it will clash with Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, Darbar, and Chhapaak that may slow down its running moves.
