In the most recent interview, the bride-to-be Deepika Padukone and her father attended a heart-to-heart talk sharing about the father-daughter untold story. Especially, Deepika’s dad opened up in conversation from his darling daughter passion to their life after Deepika made her name in Bollywood. Moreover, Prakash Padukone also expressed his opinion on Deepika’s affair rumour.

“At the beginning, we found it difficult. However, at the moment, we are used to gossip story. Some of it is true, but some of it, definitely incorrect. In life, you can’t just have only good things. So we all have to accept it,” Prakash Padukone replied to India Today.

Prakash Padukone on Deepika’s career choice

Reportedly, Prakash Padukone is a famous badminton player who ranked World Number One in 1980 and also the first Indian athlete to win the All England Open Badminton Championships. Therefore, Deepika Padukone was expected to inherit her father talent but she chose for her a totally different pathway. “As parents, it’s important to realize the difference between linking and truly being passionate about something. Deepika like badminton, but her first love was modelling,” the former athlete shared. Interestingly, Deepika Padukone used to play badminton in national level championships but decided to pursue her dream in the entertainment industry. “I didn’t withstand any pressure from my parent to play badminton. It’s one of my hobby that I really enjoyed in my free time, but I don’t think I put enough effort into it,” the actress confessed. The gorgeous actress further added her parent always wholeheartedly support her in whatever she does.

Deepika Padukone moves to Mumbai and the turning point in her career

The Padmaavat actress moves to Mumbai in 2004 and two years later made her first debut in Bollywood, one of the largest film industry in the world. Talking about the decisive moment to reallocate to Mumbai, she said: “Wow. How did I even make that decision and how did I not realise that how big the decision was at that time. However, it was not difficult for me at that time.” As oppose to the actress, her dad admitted it was a tough time for his family.  “She was not even 18. She didn’t even have a place to stay and she was too young to step into a new field”, Prakash disclosed. Even though, the proud dad thinks that his daughter is going in the right direction. “In this profession, you need to start early”, he concluded.

“I knew exactly where I wanted to be”

Nowadays, Deepika Padukone is one of the highest-paid actresses as well as popular star in India. In 2018, Time listed her as one of the ‘100 most influential people in the world’. “I want to do something bid in my life. Honestly, I know my parent had sleepless nights but I think I was extremely focused. I knew exactly where I wanted to be”, the Padmaavat actress asserted.
