The golden couple of Bollywood Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh will soon to be seen in '83 - the real-life story of Indian’s cricket team historical victory at World Cup 1983. A few months ago, director Kabir Khan surprised fans by announcing Deepika Padukone was invited to play legend cricketer Kapil Dev's wife.
In order to bring a raw intensity to her role, Deepika has spent a lot of with Romi to learn about her true personality.
“I feel so inspired every time I meet her. She has an extremely refreshing energy, is intelligent, knowledgeable, and funny.
I like her candour. Romi ji is someone who is extremely honest and when she needs to express herself, she does it with a lot of dignity. I like the way she conducts herself with so much grace.”
When being asked if Deepika and Ranveer's chemistry in real life will be visible on the silver screen, the gorgeous actress cleared the air saying:
“As actors, you don’t think about your personal equations while doing a film. You are fully focused on the moment and the character. You cease to exist as the person you are and only live the character that you are playing. Our personal equation won’t have any role to play in this film.”
The Padmaavat actress then gave a glimpse of her character who made a major contribution to Kapil's success. According to Deepika, Romi's solid support is also the pillar of strength for Kapil Dev to devote himself to cricket without holding back or any kind of emotional burden.
Also, this is not the first time Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh team up for a film. The couple has collaborated in three films includes Padmaavat, Bajirao Mastani and Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram Leela.
